Convertible Rollerball AND Fountain Pen IN ONE

These beautiful writing pieces are designed to convert back and forth from a fountain pen to a rollerball ink refill. Photos are shown with the fountain pen nib. To switch to a rollerball, simply unscrew the section behind the nib, and change it out for the rollerball refill and rollerball section.

INK REFILL:  As a rollerball, this pen uses the Schmidt 5888 (or 888) ink refills, which are widely available in a variety of colors. As a fountain pen, it will accept short international standard ink cartridges, and also comes with a converter pump so you can use any bottled fountain pen ink.

This custom pen was made from an exquisitely figured block of Desert Ironwood.  I applied my best finish to the wood– shiny and durable cyanoacrylate. The metal components are chrome plated with gold alloy accents on the band and cap.
